The Battle of the Wicked vs. the Righteous, Yesterday and Today…

As a country, we the People of America are embarking upon a great revival of our American Spirit, our Country’s Founding Principles, and our faith in a Divine Destiny.

Psalm 73 in the Old Testament defines the difference between the struggle between the wicked and the righteous: in the times of ancient Israel, and our country today. As we look at the history of the world, we see that people, governments, nations, and the world in general  continue to make the same mistakes over and over; from generation to generation. Human sinful nature never changes, only the players change over time. We are in a time where we have an opportunity to turn our country and our people away from wickedness, oppression, and division.

A revival of our faith is an important part of the total equation that equals the return to our Founding Father’s formula for success as a country, “One Nation, Under God.”

Psalm 73 was written during the time of King David 3500 years ago, but when read today, it amazingly describes our struggles against wickedness today.

”So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper . But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. In an instant they are destroyed completely swept away by terrors. When you were arise, O Lord, you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning. Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant, I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet, I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven, but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart. He is mine forever. Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you. But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.  Psalm 73:16-28

Pray: Lord, make your way plain for me to follow today, and lead me on the right path.

Our nation is in chaos, and our Kingdom crumbles…But God is in control of the world and it’s future…

Our nation is in chaos, our governments are corrupt from top to bottom. But many citizens don’t want to do the hard work to change the path our country and church are on.

Isaiah 30:9-11 ‘ that these people are stubborn rebels, who refuse to pay attention to the Lords instructions. They tell the seers, “don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path. Stop telling us about your Holy One of Israel.”

There was a reason why I was uncomfortable with the ways of the world. I seemed to be surrounded by people who, in spite of knowing the contrary, ignored the path our great country was on;  A path to the destruction of our republic. Our nation was founded on the principles of God’s ethics and his lessons for life. We have ignored our Founding Father’s principles for our country, and have become distracted by ‘ the good things in life” while not seeing the slippery slope of the deterioration of our great country. We have been deceived….. But the Lord is in control of the world and its future. Evil may create chaos, but the Lord is in control of the outcome.

Psalm 37:1-2, 12-13… “Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they soon fade away. The wicked plot against the godly; they snarl at them in defiance. But the Lord just laughs., for he sees their day of judgment coming. Soon the wicked will disappear. When you look for them, they will be gone. The lowly will possess the land and will live in peace and prosperity.”

We are soldiers in the Lord’s Army. We must follow his orders. We must allow Him to be in control, but we also have duties to carry out for Him. We must take action along with His commands to help win the battle:

Psalm 46:11 the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us. The God of Israel is our fortress.

Psalm 37:5-7 “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper, or fret about their wicked schemes.”

Be of good cheer! Live your very best life, and let’s make sure we all drive hard through the tape at the finish line.

Let us continue to be in thankful and hopeful prayer through these difficult times that are ahead.

My Prayer for today: Walk peacefully with the Lord, and wait for His lead…

Lord, thank you for teaching me, from the sanctuary of your loving arms, how to cope with the dangers of this broken world I live in. Lord, you have taught me that you will provide all the strength I need to deal with the world’s trials. Lord, the  trials that are in my path today are a test of my ability to rely on my faith in you; to use my dependence on you; to provide what is needed to deal with these challenges. Lord, I pray and wait for your will to guide me.

Blessed are you, Lord, My God, King of the Universe, Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, King of Kings.

I pray all of this in the name of your Son, and my precious Savior, my Risen King, Jesus Christ. Amen

In This World We See Him Through Faith, In Heaven We Will See Him Face to Face

Blessed Assurances…

Practice: the discipline of walking with Him through each moment of the day.

Every day that we walk through this broken, fallen world we live in, we are faced with myriads of distractions, temptations, and the fiery arrows of the evil one’s efforts to keep us from focusing on the Good Lord’s Presence in our lives.  Satan wants us to forget that: we really are safe and secure in God’s Presence as we navigate through each day moment by moment, with Him by our side as our Comforter and Constant Companion. During those moments, we are never really separated from Him, though you must see Him through eyes of Faith…

“For we live by believing (Faith) not by seeing.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

“Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me completely.” 1 Corinthians 13:12

When you get distracted from focusing on His Presence with you, you may experience loneliness or fear… But take heart, turn your thoughts back to the Lord, and the awareness of His Presence and accompanying Peace will displace the negative feelings. He gladly and lovingly accepts you back from your loss of focus, with His Peace, Comfort, and Companionship.

“The Lord gives His people Strength. The Lord blesses them with His Peace.” Psalm 29:11

Let Us Pray:

Lord, thank you for your assurances each day; that you are with me and ready to help me through the trials of the coming day. Lord, my thoughts and my feelings betray me every day, and distract me from my focus on you and all you do for me. But Lord, there has been great progress in our personal relationship, because your unfailing and unconditional Love, coupled with your Holy Word, has kept my awareness of you in the forefront of my mind. That awareness of your Presence has enabled me to readily come to you, and ask for your refuge and Peace from the onslaught of the evil one’s fiery arrows…instead of descending further into fear and loneliness.

I pray all this in the name of your Son and my precious Savior and Risen King, Jesus Christ…Amen

Blessed Are you, My God, King of the Universe, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords…

A Morning Prayer to Start Our Day

Blessed are you, Lord,  my God, King of the Universe, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords.

Heavenly Father, Creator of heaven and earth, Lord of all that is, and all there ever will be;  I thank you for this day that you have made, and I pray this morning prayer to you and through your Holy Spirit, who lives in my heart.

Lord, I thank you and I praise you for all your blessings, and for being with me, despite my weak, human sinful failings and frailties.

Lord, you endured the cross, so that I, a wretched worldly sinner, with many, many sins of the heart and flesh, could have a forgiven heart and soul, that in a thousand years I could never earn. Lord, I thank you and I praise you for that Holy Sacrifice you made on the Cross for my salvation, peace of mind, and spirit.

Lord, I thank you and I praise you for your understanding, (when nobody else does), your forgiveness and grace, and your unfailing, unconditional love, from which nothing can ever separate me. Your Love never fails!

Lord, may your Holy Spirit help me quiet my wandering, wondering thoughts and my chaotic mind this morning, so we may focus on studying your Holy Word together, learning it’s Life Lessons that put me on your right path throughout this day.

And Lord, as we go forward into this day, I ask that your Holy Spirit will be with me, and act in my life to:

1. Help me continue to be aware of, and thankful for, your presence in my life throughout this day (My first priority),  regardless of my present circumstances and any trials I may be facing…

2. Strengthen my faith in you, my trust in you, my hope in you, my love in you, and help me change my life for you and in you…

3. Help me know your will and purpose for me. Please help me be brave and courageous, as I use my thoughts, my decisions, my words, and my actions all according to your will.

4. Give me spiritual wisdom and understanding of your ways of Peace and Love, that I may better serve you by: Comforting, Encouraging, Helping, and Loving others wherever I am, and with whatever I have…

5. Help me live to honor and please you with quiet, confident trust and thankfulness;  in the thoughts I think, the decisions I make, the words I say, and the actions I take. And help me to not be a people pleaser or world pleaser.

6. Help me discern and know your joy in me, as well as my joy and thankfulness in you, for your Presence in my life today.

7. Provide spiritual and physical healing mercies for me today, according to your will and purpose for me, in your own perfect timing. And as I pray for others this morning, I pray that you will provide spiritual and physical healing mercies for them, according to your will and purpose for them, in your own perfect timing.

So for the honor of your name, O Lord, I ask you, turn to me and have mercy. Forgive my many sins, for I am alone and in deep distress without you. Give me the peace and joy of your Presence, your forgiveness and grace for my many, many sins, your comfort in my distress, and your companionship in my loneliness. And Lord, help me to make it through this day, moment by moment, step by step, using your strength, your patience, your wisdom, your courage, and your endurance, as I live this day with you, my constant companion, by my side.

Lord, make your way plain for me to follow today, and lead me on the right path.

Blessed are you Lord, My God, King of the Universe, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords.

I pray all this in the name of your Son and my precious Savior and Risen King, Jesus Christ, Amen

What The World Needs Now Is Prayer…

Considering the stressful times we live in, we all must strive to live our best lives in the face of the broken world we live in. So, rather than waking up in the morning and immediately starting to review all the bad things that our world seems to be throwing at us…

Why not start your day with a thankful and praise-filled prayer to God! After all, He is ready to lead us through the coming day, and is offering us all of His strengths to help us along the way.

“The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s Voice thunders, and the earth melts! The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.”Psalm 46:6

A Morning Prayer to start the day:

Lord, make your way plain for me to follow, and lead me on the right path.

Blessed are you, my God , King of the Universe, Prince of Peace.

I pray all this in the name of your son and my precious savior, Jesus Christ.

The Nations Are in Chaos, And Their Kingdoms Crumble, But God is Here with Us For Refuge and Strength!

“ God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our  fortress. Be still and know that I am God! I will honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:1-10

We presently live in a world full of untold evil…Due to humanity’s inborn sinful nature, war and destruction are inevitable, but so is God’s final victory. At that time, all will stand quietly before the all-powerful Lord. How proper then, for us to be still now, reverently honoring Him and His Power and Majesty. Take time each day to be still and to honor God.

Hold His Hand, And Walk Joyously With Him Throughout This Day!

“I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

Jesus IS : THE WAY (Our path to the Father), THE TRUTH (The reality of all of God’s promises), THE LIFE (He joins His divine life to ours) Walk with Him on the Path of Life today… Don’t worry about what is  around the next bend. Just concentrate on enjoying His Presence and staying in step with Him throughout this day.

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” Colossians 4:2

Be thankful in prayer for this day,  and stay alert for the blessings that you encounter throughout the day.

My Prayer for this Day:

Lord, thank you for being with me, and for being my shepherd and guide throughout this day that you have made. Lord, my mind used to be in chaos in the morning; full of plans, fears, and anxieties…and by the end of the day I would be exhausted from trying to handle all of that chaos by myself and my false sense of self-sufficiency. And that daily vicious cycle led to my falling into the sins of the prideful world. Lord, I thank you and praise you for staying with me and for pulling me out of that swamp, cleaning me up, and guiding me back to the path of life that you had planned for me all along. Lord, thank you for showing me your light for me to follow each day, and for being by me side as we walk together along towards your glory in Heaven.

Blessed are you, Lord, King of the Universe, Prince of Peace….

In a World Full of Pride and Self-Sufficiency, We MUST Walk Humbly With God

“Oh, look! Someone is trying to rule the world again…! But, of course, they will fail, again…!’

The broken state of our country, its people, and the world we live in, will soon fade away. To save ourselves and our families, we must focus on the Lord to find the good amidst the chaos around us.

Without getting into the weeds of the geo-political forces that are in play in our country and the entire world, let me just say that there is a “perfect storm” brewing that may or may not be survivable, with everything being returned to “normal” anytime soon. Continue reading “In a World Full of Pride and Self-Sufficiency, We MUST Walk Humbly With God”

We Live in Dark Times. Thank Him For Being With You In the Midst of All the Chaos In the World.

“Dear brothers and sisters, When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete , needing nothing. – James 1:2-4

You noticed that James did not say “If” trouble comes your way, but “When” it does. He knew that we live in a broken world that has much evil and strife facing us everyday. He assumes that we “will” have trouble and that it is possible to profit spiritually from them. The point is to not to pretend to be happy when we face pain, but to have a positive outlook (“consider it an opportunity for great joy”) because of what troubles can produce in our life. He tell us to turn our hardships into times of learning. Tough times can teach us perseverance.

Even though we face many trials in this broken and fallen world we live in, it should give us great “Joy” that we have a helper with much stronger and broader shoulders with which He can carry the burdens of all of our troubles. By staying close to Him in our thoughts and prayers, He stands ready to help us with our trials. Just knowing and experiencing that fact strengthens our faith and trust in Him, daily…

” I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. Because you are my helper (though I am suffering) I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you, your strong right hand holds me securely.” Psalm 63:6-8

We all have trials and troubles everyday. And we each face the choice (actually many choice-points during the day) of whether we choose to pridefully  “go-it-alone in our weakness” or to “walk with Him in humble steps of dependence,” trusting in His strength and wisdom.

The choice is ours…

Just know that He stands ready to help at a moments notice..You don’t have to wait for Him to call back, or find the time…He is with you always…

My Prayer for this day:

Lord, I thank you and I praise you for all your blessings, and for being with me, despite my weak human, sinful failings and frailties. Lord, I ask you for your help in each and every day of my life. For too many years I faced life’s trials without you, relying on myself , a friend, or a relationship, all poorly equipped to deal with the distractions and temptations that each day try to keep me from the most important relationship in my life – with you, Lord. I look forward to the joy of facing life today with you, my Lord, as my shepherd and eternal helper.

Blessed are you, my Lord, King of the Universe, Prince of Peace…
