The Lord has loved us with an eternal love since before time began…
Jeremiah 31:3–Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
But…because we cannot see His love, our human sinful nature distracts us…and we end up searching for a love we can see, touch, feel and talk to.
We can spend years searching for that kind of conditional love ( which can be unpredictable and fickle)…meanwhile the Lord is waiting for us to notice Him and His everlasting unconditional love.
The Lord waits for the right time to reveal himself, and at that time, He will take us out of the sea of human chaos and set us on the dry solid rock of His Presence.
Then He will begin the process of renewing our mind and soul to be like the mind of Christ…Thinking and acting in His ways of love. And after the process of renewing and refreshing; He wraps us in His robe of righteousness; for all the world to see the value of His unconditional love.
Isaiah 61:10–I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
Our awareness of His love for us satisfies the longing that was in our empty hearts for all those years; and replaces that emptiness with joy and the light of His Peace.
And then His light shining through your heart reaches out to others , drawing them out of the darkness, into the light of His love.
1 Peter 2:9–But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
My Prayer For This Day:
Learn thank you for the masterful way that you have revealed yourself to me. After all those years on my own, drifting in the world, searching for a love that only you can provide…You revealed yourself to me… In your own perfect timing you sent me your Holy Spirit. Your Spirit has guided me to your Holy Word, which has helped calm my confused, anxious, worried mind; and opened it to the love and joy that your Presence brings to all who will listen.
